PlayOn WA: 2030 by 2030

The WA Government is investing in the future of sport and recreation through PlayOn WA: 2030 by 2030, a bold new initiative to deliver 2,030 community infrastructure items across WA by the year 2030. 

From new clubrooms and courts to upgraded fields and recreation hubs, PlayOn WA is about creating more opportunities for people of all ages to play, move and connect wherever they live.  

PlayOn WA is an initiative to guide investment in community sport and recreation infrastructure, made possible through a range of funding.

What’s happening 

2,030 community sport and recreation infrastructure items delivered by 2030 backed by the WA Government and delivered in partnership with local governments, clubs and community groups.   

From suburban netball courts and aquatic centres to remote recreation hubs and multipurpose clubrooms, PlayOn WA will improve access to inclusive, sustainable and modern infrastructure ensuring communities can thrive.

How can I share the news? 

If your sporting group has received funding for infrastructure that’s being installed post 1 July 2025, you are part of the PlayOn WA initiative. 

Our acknowledgement page will guide you on how to appropriately recognise your funding agreement as part of PlayOn WA.
