Bunbury's Hay Park netball courts have been transformed through the WA Government's PlayOn WA initiative which is strengthening community sporting infrastructure across the State.

The major refurbishment has delivered modern facilities for the Bunbury Netball Association with the reconfiguration of 14 aging courts to 12 new courts that meet national standards.

This includes two multi-use courts to provide opportunities for basketball activities.

The project also included upgrades to drainage and fencing and the installation of six new LED light towers to replace ageing infrastructure and allow more games to be played year-round.

Supported by $532,000 from the State Government's Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund the project was completed in partnership with the City of Bunbury and the Bunbury Netball Association.

The Bunbury revamp forms part of the State Government's PlayOn WA initiative to deliver 2,030 community sports infrastructure items across WA by the year 2030.

PlayOn WA is ensuring sport and recreation facilities keep pace with growing communities, support active lifestyles and provide inclusive spaces where Western Australians of all ages and abilities can connect, grow and move.

This ongoing investment is creating healthier, more connected communities through the delivery of accessible sport and recreation spaces for all Western Australians.
