Kids Access All Areas Vouchers Program

Terms and Conditions

Background

  • The Kids Access All Areas Vouchers Program (Program) is administered by the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport (CITS).
  • CITS delivers the Program on behalf of the Government of Western Australia (the State).
  • The Program offers vouchers that can be reserved and used to claim a rebate of up to $50 per child for a range of arts and cultural events (Vouchers).

Eligibility

  • An eligible child must be a resident of Western Australia and aged between 5 and 15 years (inclusive) on the date you reserve the Voucher (Eligible Child).
  • To be eligible to reserve Vouchers for your Eligible Child(ren), you must be a resident of Western Australia, aged 18 years or older, and be the parent or legal guardian of the Eligible Child(ren) for whom you are reserving Vouchers (You).

Reserve your voucher

  • Vouchers will be available to reserve from the date published on the Program website either via the Service WA App or the Program website for participants who do not have access to the Service WA App.
  • You may reserve one Voucher per Eligible Child, for up to a maximum of four Eligible Children.
  • A fixed number of Vouchers will be allocated across three geographic regions of Western Australia for reservation on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • You must reserve the Voucher before You purchase and pay for tickets from a venue, organisation, or provider listed on the Kids Access All Areas Voucher Program website (Approved Venue or Provider).
  • The purpose of a Voucher is to confirm Your eligibility to claim a rebate of up to $50 (inclusive of GST) (Rebate) for tickets purchased after reserving a Voucher.
  • Your Vouchers are not transferable to any other person.

Purchase of tickets

  • After reserving Your Voucher(s), You may purchase and pay for tickets from an Approved Venue or Provider for an arts or cultural event.  Note that the following purchases from an Approved Venue or Provider will not be eligible for a Rebate:
    • sporting events;
    • workshops or classes,
    • purchases of goods, such as souvenirs, food and drink.
  • You must obtain a Tax Invoice for Your purchase (an EFTPOS receipt or bank transaction record is not sufficient).
  • If the cost of purchased tickets is less than the value of the Voucher, the unused balance can be applied to rebate further ticket purchases from an Approved Venue or Provider. Any unused balance is not redeemable for cash.
  • You are responsible for any costs exceeding the value of the Voucher.
  • A valid Tax Invoice from the Approved Venue or Provider is required to submit a Rebate claim.
  • You cannot use your Voucher for direct payment to an approved venue or provider.

Claim your rebate

  • You may claim a Rebate at any time before Your Voucher’s expiry date, once You have purchased your tickets.
  • You cannot claim a Rebate after Your Voucher’s expiry date.
  • To claim a Rebate, You must use the same service portal You used to reserve Your Voucher (Service WA App or Program website) and provide:
    • a copy of Your Tax Invoice for the tickets;
    • the following information extracted from the Tax Invoice:
      1. the name and ABN of the Approved Venue or Provider;
      2. the date of purchase; and
      3. the itemised cost of the tickets and any booking fee (including GST);
    • the details of the Australian bank account You nominate to receive the Rebate. You are responsible for ensuring that Your nominated bank account details are correct. CITS accepts no responsibility if payment is made to an incorrect account.
    • the cost of the self-funded tickets is evidenced only by an EFTPOS receipt or bank statement instead of a Tax Invoice;
    • the nominated bank account is not an Australian bank account.
  • CITS will not accept a Rebate claim if:
    • the Tax Invoice is:
      1. handwritten;
      2. not in English;
      3. dated prior to the commencement of the Program;
  • The Rebate will be paid via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to Your nominated Australian bank account.
  • The same Tax Invoice cannot be used by:
    • any other person, to claim a rebate in relation to the Program; or
    • You, to claim any other rebate, voucher, or offer through Service WA or any other State Government program.
