More than 350 artists, arts organisations and collectives across Australia have joined together for AusArt Day 2026 — one powerful day of collective fundraising.

28 WA artists are taking part including Perth-based contemporary Indian-global music collective SwaraSynthesis, Broome-based Indigenous intercultural dance theatre company Marrugeku and not-for-profit Upswell Publishing.

Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport Acting Executive Director Marty Cunningham said art plays a vital role in our communities, contributing to our health and wellbeing, and improving our sense of belonging and connection with others.

“Getting behind WA artists and organisations on AusArts Day is a great way to show our support for the people who make our lives richer, brighter and more connected,” Marty said.
