Delegates sit at tables at the Creative Industries Taskforce meeting in March 2026

A key initiative of Creative WA, the Creative Industries Action Plan will propose initiatives across government and explore key partnerships to ensure the creative industries can deliver against the Diversify WA economic framework and the Made in WA plan.

Throughout their meetings the Taskforce has considered actions that will support WA’s creative economy which can be understood through analysis of the creative workforce. It is made up of two broad groups.

  1. Specialist creative workers and support workers employed in creative industries.
  2. Embedded creative workers: people employed in creative occupations outside of the creative industries

The Creative Industries Taskforce will meet again in June 2026 to finalise initiatives for the Creative Industries Action Plan.
