The funding supports upgrades to theatre equipment including lighting, seating and projectors, plus the purchase of musical instruments, AV equipment, a kiln and a pottery wheel.

RTRFM has received $75,000 to contribute to a refit of the studios in Mount Lawley and the replacement of two essential transmitters to ensure the station can continue to broadcast.

The Old Mill Theatre has also received $75,000 to replace seating and carpet in one of the most historic buildings in South Perth.

Roleystone Theatre and Rockingham Theatre Company each received $40,000 to purchase equipment including a projector and lighting to assist in running their annual calendar of events.

Funding for these organisations is part of the WA Government's commitment to strengthening and foster our creative industries from the grassroots to professional levels.

Full list of funding recipients:

• Armadale Society of Artists, $10,000.00 for storage equipment;           
• Belmont Potters, $18,000.00 for a kiln;           
• Kalamunda Dramatic Society, $16,000.00 for theatre stage lighting;       
• Limelight Theatre, $30,000.00 for upgrades to green room and dressing rooms;
• Garrick Theatre, $5,000.00 for new stage curtain and IT equipment;      
• Old Mill Theatre, $75,000.00 for seats and carpet replacement;   
• Rockingham Theatre Company, $40,000.00 for theatre lighting upgrades;           
• Roleystone Theatre, $40,000.00 for new projector;        
• RTRFM, $75,000.00 for refit of studios and replacement of two essential transmitters;
• South of the River Potters' Club, $13,000.00 for equipment including a pottery wheel;
• South Perth Arts and Crafts Society, $10,000.00 for a new storage shed;  
• We Are Yokine, $10,000.00 for AV equipment for outdoor movie events;
• Women of World Stage music group, $6,000.00 for AV equipment and musical instruments; and
• Zig Zag Community Arts, $10,000.00 for office equipment and promotional marquee.
