3 construction companies — Georgiou Group, ADCO Constructions and Built — have progressed to the tender stage for the $163 million project.

This marks a significant step forward in the delivery of a world-class, purpose-built facility in Bentley, which will serve as the new home for Hockey Australia’s Centre of Excellence and High Performance Program.

The Australian Hockey Centre is a major investment by the Western Australian Government, reaffirming Western Australia’s position as the nation’s premier hockey destination.

The facility will feature:

  • 4 outdoor pitches, with at least 2 at international standard
  • a specialist high-performance training centre
  • an indoor hockey centre
  • a stadium capable of hosting up to 10,000 spectators in event mode.

The facility will also include modern broadcast capabilities, community change rooms, and administration offices for Hockey WA and Hockey Australia, ensuring the centre meets both high-performance and community needs.

The WA Government’s successful bid in 2022 secured Perth as the home of hockey for the next 18 years, supporting 4 Olympic cycles and reinforcing the State’s rich hockey legacy.
