Capability and Capacity + Evidence Informed Practices

A knowledge generating and sharing session centred on what ‘evidence’ means and how it may inform practice, as well as how sporting organisations can effectively leverage their capacity and seek opportunities for improving capability. Alongside a pulse check on each topic within the unique context of each sport, this session will generate ideas for how to address knowledge and/or practice gaps, where to find (or grow) valuable and reliable information and learn from the vast experience of the sector.

Objectives

  • able to identify what 'evidence' means and how it may inform practice
  • able to effectively leverage capacity in your organisation
  • distinguishing the appropriate opportunities to improve capability
  • applying pulse data with sport-specific lenses to generate ideas for how to address knowledge/practice gaps
