Intro

A free interactive workshop focusing on the why, why, how and who of creative thriving, resilient places.

It complements the online placemaking courses available for all WA local government staff, provided by DLGSC.

The workshop covers:

why placemaking is so relevant and important for local governments
how it's a team sport — all local government staff can make contributions (big or small)
reducing risks and saving money
getting support from council leaders and community members
funding and grant opportunities.

Numbers are capped at 40.

A light lunch will also be provided during the session.

All local government staff are welcome, including those in economic development, community development, technical services and engineering, urban planning, libraries, tourism, events and arts and culture.
