The survey – the Arts and Culture Monitor - is focused on attendance levels for arts and cultural activities, public support and attitudes toward the arts and the role culture and arts plays for West Australians and their communities.

It is an annual, independent survey commission through the DLGSC since 2001. The survey provides valuable historical data for the culture and arts sector and government.
